Do you feel exhausted from constantly masking or trying to keep up with expectations that never quite seem to fit? Many of the adults I work with are navigating sensory overwhelm, social burnout, anxiety, and the quiet exhaustion of feeling misunderstood in work, relationships, or daily life. Forest Floor Therapy is a trauma-informed, neurodivergent, and queer affirming practice for adults navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, CPTSD, burnout, and life transitions. I am also trained in WPATH Standards of Care and provide letters of support for individuals seeking gender-affirming medical care.
My approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, somatic, and relational therapy, with attention to how thoughts, emotions, sensory experiences, and relationship patterns interact. Together we work on practical skills and deeper insight, like emotional regulation, executive functioning, and task initiation.
I’m active and engaged in sessions. You can expect warmth, curiosity, and honesty, not just a blank stare or a clipboard between us. Sometimes therapy here looks like slowing down and grounding. Sometimes it looks like learning new skills. Sometimes it looks like gently challenging old beliefs that no longer serve you. There’s room for humor, swearing, pauses, and figuring things out in real time. I'm not just a therapist, I'm also a neurodivergent human who knows firsthand what it's like to navigate a world that wasn't built with me in mind. If you're looking to connect with a therapist who really gets you, please reach out!
Please reach me at Lorin@ForestFloorTherapy.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The cost of a counseling session at Forest Floor Therapy varies based on the type of service you require and what insurance plan you have. For private pay, 50 minute sessions are $200, with sliding scale options available. Please contact our office for more information on pricing.

Specialties and Focus Areas
I practice out of a cozy office in Saint Louis Park, MN, just off of major bus and transit lines. The building features a large free parking lot, with accessible spaces, and a ramped entrance. My office is on the third floor, which can be accessed by elevator or stairs. Once on the third floor, you will have access to a shared waiting room with chairs and couches and at your appointment time I will come get you and bring you back to the office. While you wait you can access the gender neutral bathroom and water bottle filling station offered in the hallway. In my office you can expect an intentional sensory environment which includes soft lighting options, coffee, tea, and snacks, a HEPA air purifier, and other therapy supporting tools such as fidget tools, books, biofeedback stones, and other items intended to make the space feel safe and comfortable.
